About the Unit
Curriculum Review and study plans Unit at the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences in Dawadmi is one of the units of the College Agency for Educational Affairs, and its inception in 1433 AH
Vision
To prepare educational programs and study plans that are in line with the academic accreditation standards and enable access to graduates with specialized knowledge, skills and abilities capable of carrying out their functions efficiently and effectively and real competitors in the Saudi labor market.
Mission
To implement the necessary specifications and standards in building plans and programs in order to develop the students' knowledge, skills and abilities through strengthening the community partnership and establishing cooperation with the academic departments in the college to improve the outputs of education in the college in order to lead to the needs of society and national development requirement
Objectives
Developing study plans and courses specifications to ensure that students are able to acquire their academic specialization and enable them to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities in their fields and to match the nature of their work to make them real competitors in the labor market.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the development of strategic plans at the college level in the field of study plans and descriptions of courses.
- Review the study plans received from the departments and ensure that they meet all the elements and standards required and recommend the adoption and propose the necessary developments with the submission of justifications.
- Studying the appropriateness of the knowledge and skills acquired by the student during his study of these programs to the requirements of the labor market by approving the approved plans and recommending that they develop them.
- Examining the compatibility between the content of courses and teaching methods with the objectives of the courses and expected educational outcomes.
- Work on the development of study plans in cooperation with the heads and supervisors of departments in the college, and sub-committees in the academic departments periodically so as to keep abreast of the scientific development and requirements of the labor market.
- Designing models to provide information and data on plans and curricula for study, evaluation and development.
- Inventory books and references related to the curriculum, and coordination with the library of the College to provide for faculty members and students and get feedback from faculty members
- Supervises the study of the different alternatives to the college admission policy.
- Studying the plans submitted by departments at the postgraduate level (diploma, master's and doctorate programs).
- Follow-up faculty members, urging them to distribute selected profiles to students at the beginning of each semester.
- Representing the college in the meetings of the study plans and description of courses at the university
- Inform the College Administration, the academic departments and faculty members of any developments and developments on the study plans and descriptions of the courses.
- Conduct a survey of the extent to which students acquire knowledge and skills in curriculum objectives and prepare reports.
- Examining the compatibility of course content.
- Coordination in the development of plans and descriptions on the website of the College.
- Conducting an exploratory study at the end of each semester to measure the suitability of the contents of the courses with the abilities and possibilities of scientific students.
