He is a reviewer in more than 20 and an editor and Board Member of several high-ranking journals. His publications are more than 65 in peer-reviewed national and international journals, book chapters, and conference proceedings, and invited speakers and acted as a chairperson in several international conferences worldwide. Currently, his research interests are to discover genes/QTL mapping, GWAS in addition to genomic prediction, somatic embryogenesis, genetic engineering, and biotechnology mainly in field crops, and genetic improvement, genetic diversity, erosion, conservation, and utilization in the context of abiotic stress. His research program aims to farmers increase the productivity per unit of land. He teaches plant biotechnology, breeding, genetics and other courses for under and post-graduate students. He also was involved in mentoring and supervising master’s and Ph.D. students.
