About the Unit

Based on the University's interest in scientific research, the University's Deanship of Scientific Research aspires to activate the scientific research units in colleges to achieve its aspirations to share in building a society of knowledge through the organization, encouragement and support of scientific research

Creating a scientific environment that is academically supportive and attracting through the ontinuous development and training of staff members and postgraduate students.

Objectives

1. Regulating scientific research at the university level
2. Providing an attractive environment for scientific research within the college
3. Raising the classification of the college in the field of scientific research among the colleges of the university.
4. Enhancing the culture of scientific research in the college.

Responsibilities

1. Participating in proposing the regulations governing the scientific research at the university level and submitting them to the main unit of the Deanship of Scientific Research
2. Organizing tutorials and scientific seminars in the field of scientific research at the college level
3. Implementing training workshops at the college level
4. Coordinating with the main research units in the Deanship of Scientific Research
5. Building an annual database of the scientific output of the members of the teaching staff and those in the faculty
6. Encouraging the scientific research movement through the adoption of research distinction awards at the college level
7. Preparing the annual unit plan and submit it to the Deanship of Scientific Research
8. Coordinating with the heads of similar research units in other faculties in the fields of research, training programs and workshops.
9. Receiving proposals and research projects submitted by faculty members and raise them to the main units
