1- Providing students with basic knowledge and skills in the field of physics in various branches so that they can meet the requirements of the labor market and keep pace with the scientific development in this field.
2 - Prepare students to prepare for the completion of their higher education, and the dissemination and strengthening of the culture and ethics of scientific research.
3. Providing a distinct research environment for conducting scientific and applied research that serves society and the environment.
4. Enhancing cooperation between the Department and similar sections of universities and other scientific research centers locally, regionally and globally.
5 - Activate the role of the department in supporting development programs and plans in Saudi Arabia and participate in solving the scientific and industrial problems facing those plans and provide research and advisory services.
