Based on the university's interest in providing specialized higher education in a way that meets the Kingdom's needs of qualified competencies and has high scientific degrees, the Department of Graduate Studies has been launched (the Dean of Graduate Studies previously). Based on the strategic plan of the university, which is in line with the National Transformation Plan 2020, the Department of Graduate Studies is keen that the provided programs are suitable qualities for the university's identity and achieved for its goals. The administration seeks to provide academic and professional postgraduate programs in various fields that available in the university In line with national needs and future requirements. The Graduate Studies Department supervises the creation and development of graduate programs through approved regulatory and scientific mechanisms and procedures. In coordination with all colleges and departments, it is keen to follow all programs, review them continuously, and work to attract distinguished graduate students with the aim of promoting the level of prestigious international universities.

The establishment of the administration (formerly the deanship)

                The Deanship of Graduate Studies at Shaqra University has been established with the aim of providing a quality that contributes to the development of society. In line with the regulations of Saudi universities that stipulate attention to postgraduate studies, and this supports the educational policy strategy in the Kingdom. The Cabinet Resolution determined its dimensions with No. 779 (9/16/1389 AH). He (The Cabinet Resolution) assigned all the Kingdom's universities to provide the opportunity for those wishing to pursue postgraduate studies in different scientific fields, and to open departments for postgraduate studies in various specializations whenever the reasons and capabilities for this are available.
