About the Unit
The Higher Studies and Scientific Research Unit was established pursuant to the Dean’s Resolution 53/21435 (1439).
Vision
To nurture and promote research activities of global standards.
Mission
To facilitate and contribute to research in all disciplines, thereby improving yield in terms of grants, research innovation, intellectual property and publications.
Objectives

Organize research activities and projects at the college level.

Provide an attractive environment for research within the college.

Promote the competitive level of college classification in terms of scientific research among all colleges of the university.

Enhance scientific research culture in the college.
Responsibilities
-
Propose regulations governing scientific research at the level of the university, to be submitted through theResearch Main Unit of the Deanship of Scientific Research.

Organize scientific research seminars and workshops at the college level.
-
Implement training workshops at the college level.

Coordinate with the main units in the Deanship of Scientific Research.

Develop database of the annual scientific output of the faculty members.
-
Encourage the scientific research movement by providing research excellence awards at the college level.

Prepare the annual plan and submit it to the Deanship of Scientific Research.

Coordinate with the heads of similar research units in other faculties in the fields of research, training programs and workshops.

Receive proposals and research projects submitted by faculty members and forward them to the Research Main Unit.
