About the Unit
The Academic Advisory Unit coordinates, supervises the implementation of the academic supervision process in the College. The academic supervisor is responsible for the supervisor of the unit and is appointed by the Dean through an internal decision and includes coordinators. All faculty members are supporting and involved in the activities of the unit. The Unit coordinates and cooperates in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs.
Vision
The Unit aims to develop the guidance services for students to benefit from the development of their personalities and skills in the various health sciences fields in the college according to international standards in the provision of academic guidance services in higher education institutions.
Mission
The Academic Guidance Unit message is to provide academic guidance services to meet the academic needs of students and develop their skills as well as encourage them to excel in academic creativity.
Objectives

Preparing new students to adapt to university life through orientation and induction programs to familiarize them with the different services, deanships and the academic advising available to them.

Help students choose the right specialization according to their potential, scientific interests and the needs of the job market.

Paying attention to the talented students, motivating them and encouraging them to achieve more goals and directing them to invest their abilities in areas that are commensurate with their scientific interests.

Follow up students with poor academic progress and help them to improve and provide advice in acquiring the necessary skills to increase their academic achievement.

To assist students with special needs during their academic life to achieve the highest levels of psychological and social and academic achievement.

Increase awareness of academic regulations among students.
Responsibilities

Develop a plan for the academic supervision during the academic year.

Supervise the implementation of the academic supervision plan.

Increase awareness among students about the importance of this unit and how to benefit from its services through meetings and publications

Defining the college’s goals, mission, educational programs, scientific departments, the fields of work after graduation, and the aspects of care and services available to the students, as well as directing them to choose the appropriate specializations to suit their abilities and interests.

Referring new students to academic supervisors and linking them to the electronic system and publishing the lists on the bulletin boards and the website of the college at the beginning of each academic year.

Bi-annually reporting the activities and achievements of the unit that includes the work of the unit as well as a report on the levels of students to the management of the college.

Examine issues raised by students and mentors and suggesting solutions and guiding students.

The Committee shall meet periodically, as in the academic guidance plan or according to the reports, to discuss the periodic reports submitted by the academic advisors.

Contribute to solving the students' psychological, financial, social and functional problems and, if necessary, involving the Deanship of the College in taking the necessary action.
