No one can imagine living today without computers. It dominates our daily activities, from very simple to very complicated ones. The need for computer scientists appears clearly in all fields, including artificial intelligence and software development projects. The contribution of computer scientists can also be seen in the development of web and mobile applications, artificial intelligence solutions, game design, and so on. Indeed, it is infrequent today to see a device or a piece of equipment that is not entirely or at least partially designed by computer scientists. Most infrastructure projects have been developed over the last three decades in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Computer scientists have been part of executing these projects. However, there is still a lack of computer scientists who can contribute to pushing the wheel of development in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Since the establishment of Computer Science at Shaqra University, the department has been/will be committed to providing qualified computer scientists with valuable skills that should participate in attaining the vision of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 2030.
