About the Unit
The Academic Advising Unit is responsible for offering guidance and following up t students during their studies by providing them with help and a sense of direction that can facilitate their adaptation to the university environment. The unit seeks to foster students' understanding of the college mission and its goals through continuous dialogue and by establsihing the appropriate environment which they need to discover their potentials and abilities in the fulfillment of their academic goals.
Vision
Academic advising is crucial for facilitating students' integration in the academic environment so that they find the appropriate atmopshere to achieve the highest educational accomplishments. Academic advising is considered a necessity within an overall strategy that seeks to achieve the general objectives academic training at the whole university, which gives priority to stimulating students' diverse talents and academic, psychologicaland social growth.
Mission
Academic advising means providing advice, scientific assistance, social and behavioral guidance to all students of the college. The aim is to develop their personalities and professional interests, and to encourage them discover their abilities and work on their development to reach excellence and embrace creativity, and cope with the various difficulties that may hinder their progress or obstruct their scientific and intellectual growth as well as the attauinment of their social and academic objectives.
Objectives

Collecting data about students who have low academic achievements.

Helping students find solutions to the problems they face.

Providing guidance so as to enable students opt for the right conduct

Stimulating the achievement of outstanding scientific results while embracing optimistim.
Responsibilities

Announcing the regulations, rules, instructions and procedures governing studies and examinations.

Student academic affairs include: registration, addition and deletion of courses, attendance, academic warnings, identification of disciplines and conversion from one specialty to another.

Periodic reports on the status of students who received academic warnings.

Reviewing the study plan of the students who will graduate in following terms and ensuring that the reviewing is carried out in compliance with the university regulations.

Submitting an annual report to the Department of Academic Advising at the Deanship of Admission and Registration on the progress in the achievement of the works undertaken by unit during the academic year.

Attending meetings held at the university and following up all that is new in the academic advising srategies adopted by the the university and other colleges.
