Interdisciplinarity is     “the bringing together of distinctive components of two or more disciplines”[1] in research or education leading to new knowledge, which would not be possible without this integration. Interdisciplinarity takes place when disciplines intermingle, intersect and create common grounds across and beyond the divide. This book is a compilation of authors’ manifestoes on the possibility of blurring the lines between different disciplines, that is, linguistics, literature, civilization and culture studies. Accordingly, the selected papers have not only disseminated knowledge established by writing research, but they have also created a contact-zone among different approaches to academic writing.
