Dr. Palanivel R is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at College of Engineering, Shaqra University, Saudi Arabia. He received his BE Mechanical Engineering from University of Madras, ME (Advanced Manufacturing Technology from Coimbatore Institute of Technology/Anna University, India and PhD (Mechanical Engineering) from Anna University, India. He has 4.9 years of Experience as Post-doctoral research Fellow (PDRF) from University of Johannesburg, South Africa. He worked as Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, at Roever college of Engineering and Technology which is affiliated to Anna University Chennai, India. His area of research is Friction stir welding, friction stir composites, friction welding of tubes, Laser welding, Hot wire TIG welding, Machining of Titanium alloys, Modeling and simulation etc., He has more than 50 research articles in ISI indexed international journal published by leading publishers such as Elsevier and Springer with high impact factors. He is active reviewer for various Journal published by Elsevier, springer and Sage etc.,
