Under the patronage of Shaqra University President, Dr. Ali bin Mohammed Al-Saif, SU celebrated the 94th National Day on Tuesday, March 21, 1446 AH, corresponding to September 24, 2024. The event was held in the main lobby of SU administration building on Shaqra campus. Attendees included SU’s vice presidents, His Excellency the Governor of Shaqra, Mr. Adel Al-Bouwardi, several directors of government departments, deans, vice deans, faculty members, staff, and students.

The celebration commenced with the national anthem, followed by a recitation from the Holy Quran. Attendees were then presented with a series of visual materials commemorating the 94th National Day, including the film We are Saudi, which underscored the significance of pride in Saudi identity, and Sons of the Nation, a tribute to the nation's progress made possible by the dedication of its loyal citizens. The ceremony also featured the recitation of a poem titled "We Prevail", delivered by an SU student.

In his address, Dr. Al-Saif extended his heartfelt congratulations on behalf of himself and SU to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and to His Royal Highness Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz—may Allah protect them. He stated, "Year after year, our Kingdom shines in its era of excellence and innovative leadership, drawing the contours of determination and innovation, and demonstrating to the world the true spirit of unity and brotherhood. With each passing year, we reaffirm that citizenship is both a belief and a deeply ingrained principle that has shaped us from birth."

Dr. Al-Saif continued: "94 years have passed during which our Kingdom has been blessed with a succession of great kings and loyal leaders to whom we pledge allegiance and express our gratitude. For 94 years, our homeland has enjoyed prosperity and looked towards the future with unwavering resolve and visionary leadership. It is with great pride that we declare: we are Saudis. O Allah, safeguard our nation's security, prosperity, and stability, and protect it from all harm!"

The ceremony also featured an exhibition, organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs, titled We Dream and Achieve. The exhibition showcased the top entries from the recent 94th National Day competition, which invited submissions in four categories: best tweet, best article, best expressive image, and best National Day design. In addition, attendees enjoyed a live painting exhibition, which highlighted the remarkable creativity and talent of the university’s students as they expressed their national pride through various artistic mediums.
