About the Unit
The academic guidance is one of the most important inputs of the university education system. It is the important link for the students to achieve the best performance in the teaching and learning processes in order to obtain the best possible academic achievement. The academic guidance service helps the students to adapt to the university environment and seize the opportunities available to them by providing them with knowledge. And basic skills that raise the level of their educational attainment
Vision
Our vision is to be a student guidance and guidance unit at the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences in Al-Dawadmi, distinguished in its performance and a pioneer in the management and development of the process of academic guidance for students at the faculties of Shakraa University.
Mission
Provide integrated guidance services for students in the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences in Dawdmi during their studies enable them to deal with and interact with the plans and programs at the college, which helps to graduate high-quality competencies correspond to the requirements of the labor market and the need of society.
Objectives

Supervising the academic guidance in the College in terms of planning and management

Coordination with the academic guidance and guidance at the level of the Center and the university in this area

Provide tools and means to enable departments to activate academic guidance

Provision of psychological and social counseling services by attracting qualified persons in this field

Contribute to stimulate academic, psychological and behavioral students and prepare them at the beginning of their academic career and their first academic year.

Define the students of the programs of the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences in Al-Dawadmi, in addition to indicating the opportunities available for the students to join the postgraduate studies in the various disciplines included in the college.
Responsibilities

Defining the students of the most important rules and laws governing the academic affairs such as the quarterly average and the cumulative rate and the method of calculating them, attendance and apology for the study, tests and estimates, the list of students' discipline, conversion, absence and warnings. Such as: library, while encouraging participation in extracurricular activities such as:

Training programs for students.

Social and cultural activities.

Work to strengthen the links and cooperation between the student and mentor and teachers to become complementary and extension of each other to create an atmosphere encouraging the student to continue to study.

Preparation and design of the programs of workshops for applications in the college in the skills of self-empowerment in order to achieve the psychological balance, social and academic student and help them to recognize their responsibilities in dealing with the University's systems and in the expression of its objectives and needs.

Promoting the love of belonging to the university in general and the college in particular.

Contribute to the guidance of the work and studies and research on the problems of higher education such as the problem of stumbling and leakage and frequent absence and neglect of duties and use of private offices to prepare.
