About the Unit

Educational Affairs is responsible for supervision and follow-up of all work related to educational, academic and supervisory aspects, and participation in the development of plans and programs of study in order to achieve the general objectives of academic accreditation standards.

Vision

  • Our vision is to providing a distinguished academic service to all students through the best use of all the available facilities at the college for nursing and clinical laboratory science in Shaqra University, Through the follow-up of the implementation of educational plans and programs leading to meet the standards of academic accreditation and enable access to graduates who have the knowledge and skills and capabilities specialist, able to perform their functions efficiently and effectively, and real competitors on the functions of the Saudi labor market
  • Provide a high quality educational environment with all the modern means to conduct the educational process

Mission

Our mission is to implement the necessary standards in building plans and programs in order to develop the students' knowledge, skills and abilities through strengthening the social partnership and establishing cooperation with the academic departments in the college to improve the outputs of education in the college in order to lead to the needs of society and national development requirements.

Objectives

  1. Contribute to enable the College to achieve its mission and objectives by ensuring the provision of academic services and high-quality education for students and students to facilitate the process of education.

  2. Develop study plans and characterize courses to ensure that students are able to pursue their academic specialization

  3. Enable students to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and competencies in their disciplines, and to match the nature of their work; to make them real competitors in work.

Responsibilities

  1. Supervising the implementation of the regulations and rules for the implementation of the list of studies and examination for undergraduate and academic units.

  2. Guidance of students and solving issues related to academic achievement and cooperation with the Academic Guidance Unit of the College to develop and implement integrated guidance programs for students.

  3. Requests for postponement and apology for the study, as well as deletions and additions of courses and the application of admission and transfer controls from and to the College and between academic departments and the equivalent of courses.

  4. Follow up the development of the study schedules with the departments in accordance with the plans of the college and coordination with other colleges in cooperation with the Deanship of Admissions and Registration.

  5. Follow up the distribution of courses on the faculty members according to their specialization.

  6. Follow-up the introduction of the study schedules on the portal and open the people with the registration supervisors of the faculty.

  7. Follow up the process of registration of the students and cases of excuses and delays and re-registration.

  8. Preparing for the new academic year to create an appropriate educational environment, stimulating scientific and academic excellence and developing students' skills in all fields.

  9. Follow-up of the preparations to laboratories, halls and equipment required by the educational process.

  10. Follow up the regularity of students and raise the level of educational achievement through continuous follow-up and dealing with the obstacles of academic achievement and care of the outstanding and talented.

  11. Participate in the preparation of plans and programs for departments.

  12. Participate in the preparation of detailed operational work programs for the implementation of the projects contained in the strategic plan of the college with regard to the educational and academic aspects of the college students and graduates.

  13. Participate in the work of the student committees in the college according to the decisions issued in this regard.

  14. Follow up the performance of faculty members in educational and academic affairs and facilitate any obstacles in terms of educational and academic affairs in classrooms, laboratories and field training.

  15. Periodic evaluation of the performance of units, administrative divisions and committees of educational affairs and compare them with their objectives and approved plans, and work to improve performance and improve its achievements.

  16. Preparing periodic and special reports on the administrative work of the administrative divisions and including the developmental proposals and submitting them to the college's undersecretary and the undersecretary of the college for educational affairs and following up their implementation after approval.

  17. Follow-up unit of students and to assist in the completion of tasks of the unit and facilitate it.

  18. Follow up the preparation of tables of theoretical and practical tests  and discuss the specifications of good testing with faculty members and qualifying students for the final tests

  19. Follow-up of the tests in college and cases of absence by tests and excuses and raise them to the college

  20. Requests for postponement and apology for the study, as well as deletions and additions and the application of acceptance and transfer controls from and to the College and between the academic departments and equivalence of courses
