The discussion covered the following topics: Dr. Faiza provided practical examples of how to rationalize spending and concluded the session with questions and an interactive discussion with the students.

Panel Discussion on Green Accounting
The Scientific Departments – at Shaqra Universityorganized a panel discussion titled “Green Accounting”, presented by Dr. Hajar Mostafa Ammar, on Wednesday, 01/05/1445 AH (corresponding to 22/10/1445 AH), under the supervision of Dr. Itab Muteb Al-Mutairi, Assistant to the Supervisor. The session aimed to explore the concept of green accounting, emphasizing its role in covering all accounting aspects that may be affected by an organization’s response to internal and external environmental and social issues. It highlighted how green accounting adopts various procedures and tools to measure and disclose actual environmental activities, and how it contributes to reducing or mitigating these activities by selecting the most appropriate tools based on the institution’s resources and by comparing the cost of each tool with the benefit derived from its use. The discussion included an exchange of ideas and opinions that enriched the session with valuable insights. The participants emphasized the importance of such sessions, as they provide a platform for dialogue, expansion, and deeper understanding across various scientific fields. |

The Deanship of Student Affairs at Shaqra University, through the Community Service Department, concluded the Al-Washm Green Forum, in line with the Saudi Green Initiative.
The event aimed to raise environmental awareness and promote tree planting to support the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

The Student Activity Unit, in cooperation with the Deanship of Student Affairs, organized an environmental activity titled “Noise Pollution.”
The session, presented by Dr. Rasha Al-Subbagh via Microsoft Teams for the female section, discussed the concept, types, and harmful effects of noise pollution.
The male section also participated through a lecture by Dr. Abdelqader Mahmoud, addressing the health and psychological impacts of noise and ways to minimize them.

The Safety and Security Unit, in cooperation with the Department of Natural and Applied Sciences / Physics Track, organized a lecture titled “Healthy Meals for University Students.”
Presented by Afaf Al-Huraizi, the lecture discussed the importance of balanced nutrition, daily dietary needs, and examples of healthy and unhealthy meals.
