Vision, Mission, and Goals

Vision

To position the Sustainability Office at Shaqra University as a leading model among Saudi universities in adopting and implementing sustainability initiatives, while actively contributing to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Mission

To promote sustainability practices at Shaqra University through:

1. Developing and implementing programs and initiatives in environmental, social, and administrative sustainability to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
2. Integrating sustainability concepts into education, research, and community service.
3. Empowering academic, administrative staff, and students to actively participate in sustainability activities.
4. Establishing strategic partnerships with local and international entities to enhance sustainability efforts.

Objectives

1. Raise awareness of sustainability principles among university staff and students.
2. Implement sustainable building standards and efficiently manage natural resources (energy, water, paper, and waste).
3. Promote research and innovative projects related to sustainability.
4. Empower students to participate in initiatives and projects that foster responsible environmental and social behavior.
5. Develop partnerships with national and international institutions in the field of sustainability.
6. Monitor and evaluate performance through periodic indicators and reports on the university’s sustainability initiatives.
