General Experience:

  • Bacteria isolation, purification and identification from different environmental samples
  • Identification of cultured and uncultured bacteria
  • DNA isolation from gram negative and gram positive bacteria and also from soil
  • PCR amplification using universal or specific primers, cloning, Gene libraries, Screening of the gene libraries, sequencing, sequence analysis,
  • The use of SSCP-PCR and others PCR-based approaches to recognize between bacterial species at the strain level.
  • Probes and primers design for the functional genes
  • Screening and Constructing of genetically modified bacterial degraders  for the Aromatic compounds e.g.  Dioxin and PCBs
  • Phylogenetic analysis of 16S ribosomal RNA genes either for cultured or yet uncultured microbial species from different environment Ecosystems
  • Amplification of specific fragments of nucleic acids (DNA, RNA) using   polymerase chain reaction (PCR)
  • Detection and separation of PCR products using agarose gel electrophoresis.
