Welcome to the Department of Electrical Engineering at Shaqra University. Our faculty is dedicated to educating our students for the future, doing high-quality research, and continuously seeking to serve our broader community. The Electrical Engineering Department at Shaqra University offers students the opportunity to develop their knowledge and technical skills. With an emphasis on creativity and innovation, the program prepares students to become self-learners and encourages them to pursue higher education in this rapidly advancing discipline. The department strives to work closely with the local community, establish cooperative, and research links with Communications, Electronics and Power industries.
The EE department embraces a collection of faculty members who graduated from top international universities worldwide, creating a unique group of international expertise in one department.
The EE department offers B.Sc. students the choice of two tracks to follow based on their interests and personal objectives: Communications Engineering and Power Engineering.
The EE department aims to prepare electrical engineers who are able to contribute effectively in the design, development, and maintenance of various fields of electrical engineering. Hence, the department not only offers Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) programs but also offers Applied College Diploma.
Since the laboratory activities are a major and important part of the educational process, there are several modern laboratories that cover the study plan of the department. Our interdisciplinary research includes telecommunications, antenna and propagation, signal processing, renewable energy, control systems, power systems and high voltage systems. Our department always welcomes change and takes new challenges to meet the high expectations of our stakeholders.
The Bachelor of Science Program in Electrical Engineering is Accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) of ABET, https://www.abet.org.
