Strengthen course management and coordination across years 1–4

Coordinate course scheduling, sequencing, and integration across disciplines.

Standardize course guides, learning resources, and assessment plans across basic science courses.

Ensure consistent documentation and course file requirements for all basic phase courses.

Enhance teaching and learning strategies to improve student engagement and performance

Implement student-centered approaches (PBL/hybrid learning, tutorials, seminars, SDL, team-based activities).

Use active learning strategies to enhance understanding and long-term retention.

Provide structured support for students to develop study skills, scientific thinking, and early clinical reasoning.

Improve assessment quality, fairness, and early feedback

Align CLOs with assessment methods and ensure appropriate blueprinting and exam quality standards.

Apply item review and item analysis to improve reliability and validity of assessments.

Identify students’ strengths and weaknesses early and provide remediation plans and targeted support.

Strengthen academic advising and student support during the basic phase

Provide structured academic advising and early warning systems for students at risk.

Support student wellbeing, professionalism, and learning skills development in coordination with relevant units.

Ensure clear communication of course expectations, grading policies, and assessment rubrics.

Encourage student participation in research activities and foundational research skills training.

Support faculty-led educational and biomedical research aligned with college priorities.

Integrate research literacy (evidence-based medicine basics) into learning activities where appropriate.

Optimize learning resources, laboratories, and educational facilities

Ensure effective utilization and safety of laboratories and practical sessions.

Strengthen access to digital resources, e-learning tools, and updated references.

Coordinate with support units to enhance learning infrastructure and student learning spaces.

Implement continuous quality improvement for the preparatory year and basic phase

Conduct annual course evaluations (KPIs, CLO achievement, surveys, course reports) and implement action plans in collaboration with the responsible units and Councils.

Use benchmarking and stakeholder feedback to guide improvements.

Contribute to periodic comprehensive program review (every 5 years – SSRP) and ensure NCAAA compliance.
