Ensure consistency in teaching, assessment, and documentation across all clinical courses.

Strengthen the clinical learning environment and student support

Maintain a supportive clinical learning environment that promotes professionalism and safe practice.

Provide academic advising, mentoring, and early support for students at risk during clinical years.

Ensure students receive clear orientation, learning guides, and expectations at the start of each course/rotation.

Enhance assessment quality, transparency, and feedback in clinical courses

Align CLOs with assessment tools (OSCE, clinical exams, case presentations, written exams).

Strengthen workplace-based assessment (Mini-CEX, logbooks, rubrics, direct observation tools).

Provide continuous faculty development in clinical teaching, assessment, feedback, and mentoring.

Encourage adoption of standardized rubrics and best-practice assessment methods across departments.

Promote clinical education innovation and scholarship

Encourage educational innovation projects within clinical courses and training (simulation, CBD, blended learning).

Support research in medical education and clinically relevant student projects aligned with institutional priorities.

Use evidence from course reports, KPIs, and benchmarking to guide innovation and improvement.

Strengthen partnerships to improve clinical teaching and training quality

Enhance collaboration with affiliated hospitals and clinical training sites for teaching and supervision.

Benchmark clinical course delivery and assessment practices with reputable institutions.

Engage external reviewers and stakeholders (employers, alumni, clinicians) to improve course quality.

Implement continuous quality improvement for clinical courses and clinical training

Coordinate with Statstics unit, Quality Unit and Curriculum development & Study plans unit to conduct annual evaluation of clinical courses (KPIs, CLO achievement, surveys, course reports).

Implement evidence-based improvement plans and monitor their impact.

Support periodic comprehensive review (every 5 years – SSRP) and ensure compliance with NCAAA requirements
