1-Manuscript Types
Research Article — full original work with clear motivation, sound methods, validated results, and defensible conclusions.
Review Article — critical, well‑scoped synthesis of a focused topic with comprehensive, current references.
Case Study / Application — practice‑oriented study demonstrating solutions, deployments, or lessons learned.
Book Review — reviews of recent books relevant to computing (by invitation or prior approval).
Extended Conference Paper — substantially revised/extended versions of peer‑reviewed conference papers (declare provenance and permissions).
2-Submission & Originality
Submissions must be original, in English, and not under review elsewhere. Disclose earlier versions (e.g., theses, preprints, prior‑language publications) and confirm permissions for copyrighted material. If extended from a conference paper, state the event, explain the significant additions, and confirm copyright status/permission.

3-Peer Review
JSUCIT operates double‑blind peer review. Editors may desk‑screen for fit, quality, and novelty before external review. Decisions include accept, minor revision, major revision, or reject. Revised manuscripts are reassessed as needed.

4-Revision & Proofs
Typical deadlines: 60 days for the first revision and 20 days for subsequent rounds. Page proofs are provided for correcting typesetting errors and must be returned promptly (target 14 days).

5- Manuscript Preparation (IEEE)
Templates: Use the official IEEE Word/LaTeX templates (Overleaf supported).
Structure: Title, Authors, Abstract (≤250 words), Keywords (7–10), Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgments, References.
Length: Full papers ≤10 IEEE‑formatted pages, inclusive of all content.
Figures/Tables/Equations: Number consistently; ensure legibility and correct placement/citation.
Citations: Numeric in‑text citations [1]; reference list in citation order per IEEE style.
6-Ethics, Transparency, and Compliance
JSUCIT adheres to COPE and CSE best practices. Declare conflicts of interest, funding, necessary approvals, and permissions. Data/code availability is encouraged to support reproducibility.

7-Title Page
Include: Title; author names & affiliations (with country); one corresponding author with email; present address notes if applicable.

8- Submission
Submit manuscripts via the JSUCIT online submission system and include a cover letter (article type, contribution, prior dissemination, conflicts/funding, special notes). Editors may adjust the final category upon acceptance.

JSUCIT journal uses a process whereby scientific experts from the field evaluate a manuscript and provide an assessment of its quality and suitability for a particular journal and offer a recommendation to the relevant Editor. Such experts are external to our Editorial staff. All manuscript which undergoes peer-review and are accepted to the journal, will be badged as peer-reviewed when published.

Once submitted, a manuscript is initially screened with the cover letter, plagiarism report and article reviewed to ensure its within scope and complies with our editorial policies. If so, the article is then sent for external peer-review (double-blind). Once sufficient peer-reviews are in (we aim for three), the article will be assigned to an Editor who will then make a decision on whether to accept, reject or offer revision.

A manuscript will be reviewed for possible publication with the understanding that it is being submitted to JSUCIT alone at that point in time and has not been published anywhere, simultaneously submitted, or already accepted for publication elsewhere. The journal expects that authors would authorize one of them to correspond with the Journal for all matters related to the manuscript. All manuscripts received are duly acknowledged. Following an initial check from our Editorial Office to ensure all required components have been submitted, three independent external expert peer reviewers will be invited for comment through a single blind process. Some letters, editorials and commentaries may fall outside this review process if they were invited by the Editor.

Manuscripts received from the JSUCIT Editors and Editorial Board members are sent to external peer reviewers. The Editors and Editorial Board members who are authors of these manuscripts are excluded from related review and publication decisions.

Following peer review, every manuscript is assigned to an Editor who will make a decision based on the comments from the reviewers and their own assessment. The comments and suggestions (acceptance/ rejection/ acceptance with minor/major amendments) received from reviewers are conveyed to the corresponding author. If required, the author is requested to provide a point-by-point response to reviewers’ comments and submit a revised version of the manuscript. This process is repeated until reviewers and editors are satisfied with the manuscript.

Shaqra University’s Journal of Computing and Information Technology is pleased to announce that it will begin accepting publication submissions starting December 2025.
