• What is Open Data?
  Open data refers to data that is made available to all users of the Shaqra University electronic portal, including all visitors. It aims to adopt the open data approach and align it with the strategic objectives of the government entity. This data is public by law and helps enhance participation, increase knowledge, and provide scientific research and statistical information. It is produced by the university as part of its official functions and made available for others to use. Visitors and beneficiaries of the portal are required to review the data usage policy to stay informed about any updates.

• Open Data Users:
  The university allows portal users to access and use open data, with the user being responsible for its reuse. This right is guaranteed to all beneficiaries.

• Responsibility of Data Users:
  Users of open data are responsible for how they reuse the data available on the university’s portal. The data may not be republished without obtaining permission from the data-owning university. Any errors resulting from reuse—related to the data content, source, or date—are the responsibility of the user.

• University Responsibility:
  Shaqra University is not responsible for any misuse by entities resulting from the use of data published on its portal. The university also bears no responsibility toward users for any damages that may occur due to data reuse. Additionally, the university does not guarantee the continuous availability of this data, in whole or in part.

• Conditions for Reuse:

• Users must not alter or distort the data or its source.
• The data must not be used for political purposes, to support illegal or criminal activities, or in any racist, discriminatory, inflammatory, or harmful context that negatively impacts culture, equality, or incites misconduct, or violates the customs and traditions of the Kingdom.
• When using the data, the source must be clearly acknowledged as (the University’s electronic portal).
• Proper attribution must include providing a link to the University’s electronic portal to preserve intellectual property rights, ensure credibility, and verify the authenticity of the data source.

API Interface

It is a service that enables integration with Shaqra University’s Open Data Portal through an Application Programming Interface (API), designed for developers who wish to build and develop their own applications using the portal’s data.
