About Faculty

The College of Medicine in Dawadmi was established in 2011 (1432 AH) pursuant to Royal Order No. (11032), which authorized the establishment of the College of Medicine in Dawadmi Governorate as one of the most recent academic institutions affiliated with Shaqra University. The college represents a strategic national initiative aimed at supporting the expansion of medical education and strengthening the healthcare workforce in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The first cohort of medical students was admitted in the academic year 2014–2015 (1435–1436 AH), marking the beginning of the college’s educational mission. Since its inception, the establishment of the College of Medicine in Dawadmi has played a significant role in addressing the growing and diverse healthcare needs of the region, in alignment with the continuous development witnessed across all levels of the Saudi healthcare system.

Since the graduation of its first cohort, the college has consistently produced medical graduates across successive academic years. These graduates contribute meaningfully to the national medical workforce and reflect the college’s commitment to preparing competent, well-qualified physicians.

The majority of the college’s graduates have been accepted into postgraduate residency and subspecialty training programs in various medical disciplines, including pediatrics, general surgery, internal medicine, and other clinical specialties. This reflects the quality of undergraduate medical education provided by the college and the readiness of its graduates to pursue advanced clinical training.

Furthermore, a number of graduates have successfully completed their residency training programs and are currently practicing as qualified physicians in recognized medical centers and healthcare institutions across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, contributing effectively to the delivery of healthcare services and supporting national health system needs.

Through its integrated approach to education, research, and community engagement, the College of Medicine in Dawadmi strives to fulfill its mission in supporting the Kingdom’s vision for sustainable healthcare development and excellence in medical education
