The Department of Islamic Studies is one of the academic departments dedicated to deepening a sound understanding of Islam and reinforcing its noble principles and values. The department seeks to prepare qualified scholars who possess solid grounding in Islamic knowledge, strong research and analytical skills, and the ability to serve the community and promote a balanced and moderate understanding of Islam.

The department includes a distinguished group of faculty members specializing in various fields of Islamic sciences, such as the Holy Qur’an and its sciences, Qur’anic exegesis (Tafsir), Islamic creed (Aqidah), Hadith and its sciences, comparative jurisprudence (Fiqh), principles of jurisprudence (Usul al-Fiqh), and Islamic culture.

The department also provides a distinguished academic environment that contributes to developing students’ research skills, along with cultural activities that enhance Islamic identity and foster the ability to address contemporary issues through a balanced and scholarly approach.

Through these efforts, the Department of Islamic Studies continues to play an active role in serving religion and country, graduating a generation capable of combining authentic Islamic scholarship with contemporary thought, and contributing to the building of an enlightened, knowledge-based society.
