Transferring to Our Civil Engineering Program: Essential Requirements

- Accredited Education: Be a regular student from an accredited college or university. Affiliated or distance learning students are not eligible.
- Good Standing: Must not have been dismissed from the previous university for disciplinary or academic reasons.
- Minimum Semesters and Units: Completion of at least two semesters at your former university, with a minimum of 24 academic units.
- Preparatory Year: Completion of the preparatory year is required for certain majors.
- Cumulative Average: A minimum GPA of 4.00 out of 5.00 is required for the College of Engineering.
- Major Equivalency: Your current major should be equivalent to the major you wish to transfer into.
- Study Completion: At least 60% of graduation requirements must be completed at our university.

Course Equivalency at Our Civil Engineering Program
Transferring courses to Shaqra University’s Civil Engineering Program is streamlined with our clear equivalency guidelines. The College Council, based on departmental recommendations, oversees this process:
- Grade Requirement: Courses under consideration for equivalency must have been completed with at least a 'good' grade.
- Hourly Match: The number of hours in the course to be equated should either match or exceed the hours required at Shaqra University. Exceptions may be made for courses with up to one hour less.
- Content Similarity: At least 70% of the course content should be identical to the corresponding course at Shaqra University.
- Content Evaluation: The college reserves the right to assess the course content's appropriateness for our university.

Visiting Student Program Requirements at Our Civil Engineering Program
For Shaqra University Students Studying Elsewhere:
- Semester and Credit Requirements: Must have completed at least one semester with a minimum of 16 credits.
- Approval Process: Requires the endorsement of the student’s department, college, and the Deanship of Admission and Registration. Specific courses for study must be specified.
- Course Availability: The intended courses must be unavailable at Shaqra University, except under acceptable excuses.
- Preparatory Year Limitation: Preparatory year students cannot study these courses elsewhere.
- Credit Limit: A maximum of 25% of total graduation credits can be taken outside Shaqra University.
- Results Submission: Results must be submitted to the Deanship immediately after exams. Failure to do so may lead to suspension.
- Stipend Conditions: Monthly stipends are contingent on results submission and course equivalency approval.
