Course Equivalency at Our Civil Engineering Program

Transferring courses to Shaqra University’s Civil Engineering Program is streamlined with our clear equivalency guidelines. The College Council, based on departmental recommendations, oversees this process:

  1. Grade Requirement: Courses under consideration for equivalency must have been completed with at least a 'good' grade.
  2. Hourly Match: The number of hours in the course to be equated should either match or exceed the hours required at Shaqra University. Exceptions may be made for courses with up to one hour less.
  3. Content Similarity: At least 70% of the course content should be identical to the corresponding course at Shaqra University.
  4. Content Evaluation: The college reserves the right to assess the course content's appropriateness for our university.
  5. Equivalency Request Process: To request course equivalency, whether for internal or external courses, please scan the code provided below to access our electronic portal:

Important Note: Before submitting an equivalency request, students must consult their academic advisor and department to determine eligible courses. This step is crucial to ensure the correct submission and approval of your request. Remember, this service is for internal equivalencies or courses studied outside the university (for transfer or visiting students); external equivalencies have a separate process.
