The Deanship of the Preparatory Year at Shaqra University is considered one of the supporting deanships. It has excelled at offering supporting programs that equip the students with the skills needed to progress onto their prospective majors in the fields of Medicine, Medical sciences, Pharmacology, Engineering, Computer Science and Information and Technology Colleges.
The primary aim of the program is to prepare students for a new chapter in their lives by enhancing their English Language and Computer Science skills as well as the necessary primary sciences required to aid their academic progression.
Through the success of the program, the Preparatory Year Deanship has provided, and continues to provide students enrolled in the Shaqraa, Al-duwadii, and Al-quwaiiyah branches of the university, with a distinguished educational experience. The program is offered to both male and female students, enrolled in the Health, Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology tracks, and is taught by a team of highly qualified national and international teaching staff.

In light of the vital role of the preparatory program and its distinguishable outputs, which benefit the university by equipping students with twenty-first century skills and requirements as well as the language skills needed, Shaqra university has committed to increasing the number of students accepted for the year 1442H to 1100 students across three campuses. Driven by the vision of Shaqra University and the Ministry of Education, the Preparatory Year Deanship is in constant pursuit of realizing the goals and ambitions of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030. |
