The Custodian of the two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud (may Allah have mercy on him), while functioning as the Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia and Chair of the Higher Education Council, approved a number of decisions passed by the Council of Higher Education
in its 56th annual conference held on the 24-8-2009, 9-3-1439H.

The then Minister of Higher Education, Khalid bin Mohammed Al Angari, clarified the council’s approval of the establishment of a number of deanships in Saudi universities, among which was the preparatory year Deanship at Shaqra University. The Preparatory Year Program is designed to prepare and qualify students prior to their enrollment on to one of the mentioned faculties of Medicine, Medical Sciences, Pharmacology, Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology. |
