I am, on my own behalf and on behalf of my colleagues the faculty and staff members of the Deanship of the preparatory year, I pleased to congratulate you on joining the University of Shaqra, wishing you all the success. I would like to welcome you to the program of the preparatory year in which you have been admitted at. The Deanship of the preparatory year and all its related programs aim at developing the skills required for its students, through working effectively and efficiently, that contribute in promoting the academic performance level of the students, which is a prerequisite for your success in the academic programs offered by the preparatory year.
The process of preparing the students properly during their enrollment at the preparatory year program is an integral part of the preparation required for their success and creativity in their university studies, which is accordingly contributing directly to meeting the evolving and changing labor market requirements and contributing in the achievement of the goals of the 2030 Vision for the university education in the Kingdom.
Accordingly, the Deanship of the Preparatory Year has endeavored, and it still does, to form distinguished partnerships to achieve the objectives entrusted to it. This is only with the support and guidance of His Excellency, the Rector, Dr. Awad bin Khozim Al-Asmari, and the Vice-Dean for Educational Affairs, Dr. Fahd bin Khalid Al Dhafairi, who are keen to provide the appropriate environment for the newly admitted students to succeed in their studies, and to get adapted to the university life in a smooth and fast manner. That is, in addition, showing their keenness to provide advanced courses, to attract qualified calibers, and to provide the best technical services and support. All these will have a direct and positive effect -after the reconciliation of Allah Almighty- on achieving their goals and aspirations that they exist here for them.
This requires from you to understand and absorb the mission of the preparatory year, its goals, regulations and disciplines, so that you are safe from the erroneous interpretations that may occur -God forbid- and may keep you away from achieving your goals and ambitions. What has been prepared for you in this great scientific edifice of equipment and possibilities would have not been there without the confidence of the Kingdom's leaders and your ability to contribute to the building and development of your country. This undoubtedly requires your effort and sincerity to work, and to be up to that confidence given to you and bearing the responsibility.
