The Learning Resources Department at Shaqra University seeks to serve the university staff and members of the surrounding community by providing them with useful information that meets their interests and satisfies them in all scientific and research fields. In addition, it strives to keep up with progress and technology by following the latest developments, accessing information sources and various types of publications, and making them available to esteemed readers by all possible means. As intended in the vision of the wise leadership, may God protect it, it aims to be a pioneering and distinguished library that contributes to spreading awareness within the community and participates in its advancement and prosperity, viewing reading as the key to knowledge, the foundation of civilizational progress, and scientific excellence.

About
The Learning Resources Management at Shaqra University was established following the decision of the University President based on the powers granted to him under Article (24) of the Higher Education Council and Universities System, dated (2/4/1445 AH) with decision number (45006906). It is an extension of the work carried out by the Deanship of Library Affairs at Shaqra University, which was established with the approval of the Higher Education Council in its (65th) session held on (3/7/1432 AH) by decision number (24/65/1432) to create a Deanship of Library Affairs at the university. It was crowned with the esteemed approval of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the Prime Minister, and the Chairman of the Higher Education Council – may Allah preserve him – through the royal directive number (370409/M B) dated (10/9/1432 AH). This reflects the belief in the role of university libraries in supporting and assisting educational and research programs, promoting culture and knowledge, and their important role in serving the community surrounding the university. The Deanship of Library Affairs is concerned with providing various knowledge resources to the university staff, including faculty members, students, and external researchers.

Establish a central library according to the latest developments in university library construction, as well as establish and develop branch libraries in the university colleges to create an integrated library system in line with the latest advancements in the university library sector.2. Provide a modern, balanced, and comprehensive collection of information resources across various fields of knowledge, including books, journals, manuscripts, government publications, theses, and electronic resources.3. Carry out the technical processing and organization of information resources through cataloging and classification of all available information materials in the university libraries according to international standards.
