Vice-Deanship of Development and Quality
The vice Deanship for Measurement and Evaluation is responsible for developing the general policy for performance measurement and evaluation across all academic and administrative units within the university. This includes designing and implementing measurement and evaluation tools, collecting data on key performance indicators (KPIs), and gauging user feedback through surveys, benchmarking data, evaluation forms, and other statistics from various sources. This data is then analyzed, and recommendations and findings are disseminated to users in the university's academic and administrative units to facilitate the development of corrective action plans. The vice-deaship also focuses on promoting a culture of measurement and evaluation among university staff across its various entities. It establishes databases and information systems for the Deanship of Development and Quality to support decision-making in various areas of quality, academic accreditation, measurement, and evaluation. It conducts surveys in measurement and evaluation fields related to university development, educational quality, and learning outcomes.
Vice-Deanship for Quality
The vice-Deanship of Quality's role includes contributing to the development of general policies and procedures for the quality assurance system; coordinating and overseeing the implementation of Shaqra University's internal quality assurance system across all academic and administrative units under the supervision of the Dean of Development and Quality; contributing to enhancing the university's competitive position among other universities; striving to gain the trust and recognition of the university's outputs from the local and international community by following up with colleges to meet academic accreditation requirements; and providing the necessary support to academic units and supporting deanships in the areas of quality assurance and academic accreditation.
Vice-Deanship for Development
The vice-Deanship for Development plays an active role in disseminating and establishing a culture of quality and continuous improvement at the university level. This includes identifying the training needs of faculty members in the areas of quality assurance and academic accreditation, coordinating with relevant entities both within and outside the university to address these needs, and proposing studies and plans necessary to develop the skills of university faculty members and foster a spirit of competition and innovation among them.

  • Training and Development Management
    The Training and Development Management implements the annual training plan for university staff, including faculty members, and oversees all training-related activities within and outside the university.

  • Quality Management
    The Quality System Management maintains the implementation of quality systems through periodic reviews of academic programs, ensures compliance, and continuously develops the system in alignment with local and international best practices.
    Academic Accreditation Management
    Manages communication between academic programs and the National Center for Academic Accreditation and Evaluation, ensures high-quality and timely file submissions, and supports the deanship's objectives related to obtaining national and international academic accreditation.

    Designs and implements measurement and evaluation tools, collects key performance indicator data, measures beneficiary satisfaction through surveys, benchmarking data, and evaluation models. The data is analyzed and recommendations are sent to beneficiaries and decision-makers.
    Translation and Proofreading Unit
    A specialized unit in text review and editing, encompassing translation, linguistic editing (rephrasing and improving style and text to ensure quality), and proofreading (final correction of spelling, grammatical errors, and punctuation).

  • Excellence Unit    

  • Learning Outcomes Measurement Unit
    Promotes a culture of measurement and evaluation among university staff across its various entities, establishes databases for the Deanship of Development and Quality to support decision-making in quality, academic accreditation, measurement, and evaluation fields.

  • Performance Monitoring and Improvement Unit
    Monitors work performance periodically, develops improvement plans, ensures compliance with regulations and standards, and develops employee capabilities. Core tasks include data analysis, efficiency improvement recommendations, individual and institutional performance evaluation, and fostering a culture of continuous development.
     

About

The Deanship of Development and Quality operates under the University’s Vice Rectorate for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research. It is dedicated to promoting quality assurance, continuous development, and institutional excellence across all colleges, departments, and administrative units of Shaqra University. The Deanship seeks to enhance efficiency, foster a culture of excellence, and achieve the targeted learning outcomes. The Deanship was established in 1433 AH (2012/2013) and it was formerly known as the Educational Programs Quality Unit.
