The progress of nations and their development is closely related to education. Therefore, countries seek to raise the level of education and try to improve it for every house in the country. Our government has followed this civilized approach. Many universities outside major cities have made it easier for the country's citizens to enroll in higher education. The opening of the College of Computing and Information Technology at the University of Shaqra with the Supreme Order No. A / 426 dated 2/3/1434 AH was one of the steps that was taken in order to achieve the goal.

Dean's Message

In light of the accelerating pace of technological advancement and digital transformation worldwide, technology has become a key driving force for change across all aspects of life. This has contributed to an increased demand for qualified national talent equipped with advanced technical knowledge and skills. Based on this reality, the College of Computing and Information Technology (CCIT) at Shaqra University is keen to fulfill its academic and developmental role by offering modern and distinguished educational programs that keep pace with best global practices and meet the needs of the local and national labor market.

The College, through its academic and administrative sectors, has worked on developing study plans and educational programs to ensure the quality and effectiveness of learning outcomes. The College currently offers bachelor’s degree programs in Computer Science, Computer Engineering and Networks, Information Systems, and Artificial Intelligence, in addition to a well-planned expansion in graduate programs. These include the Master’s program in Cybersecurity and the Master’s program in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, with a future orientation toward launching additional graduate programs that contribute to enhancing scientific research and building a knowledge-based economy.

The College also places great emphasis on applying quality standards and academic accreditation requirements. It is steadily working toward completing the requirements for national academic accreditation and enhancing its readiness for international accreditations, thereby ensuring the advancement of the educational process in accordance with high academic standards and strengthening society’s confidence in its educational outcomes.

In the field of scientific research, the College continues its ongoing support for faculty members and researchers by encouraging scientific publication, collaborative research, and the exchange of academic expertise. This contributes to achieving academic and research excellence and serving priority developmental and societal issues.

Academic Advising Unit

Unit Description
The unit provides academic advising services, introduces students to academic regulations and policies, and supports them in overcoming academic, social, psychological, or health-related challenges.
