In a step that reflects the outcomes of its institutional efforts to enhance the quality of education, Shaqra University has entered the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2026 for the first time.
For his part, the University President Dr. Ali bin Mohammed Al-Saif extended his thanks to the wise leadership — may Allah protect them — and to His Excellency the Minister of Education for their unlimited support of Saudi universities, affirming that this achievement comes as a culmination of the University's journey in academic and research development and in enhancing institutional performance efficiency, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
Al-Saif also extended his thanks to all University staff for their distinguished efforts in advancing the University's academic and administrative system, noting that the University will continue its journey in improving its outcomes and refining its educational and research ecosystem in the coming phase, Allah willing.
The University's entry into this global ranking highlights its efforts to develop the educational system, enhance the efficiency of scientific research and its international impact, and expand global academic partnerships.
This achievement also embodies the University's progress in the performance indicators upon which the ranking is based — namely the efficiency of the learning environment, the strength and quality of research output, international openness, and knowledge transfer — reinforcing the University's position within the Saudi higher education ecosystem that seeks to achieve the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 toward quality education and global impact.
