Shaqra, May 1, 2026 — Shaqra University President Prof. Ali bin Mohammed Al-Saif and Qassim University President Prof. Mohammed bin Fahd Al-Sharekh witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the College of Medicine at Shaqra University and the Medical City at Qassim University, aimed at strengthening academic and medical cooperation between the two universities.
The MoU seeks to expand joint cooperation in educational, training, and research domains, contributing to the development of health and medical services and enhancing the capabilities of national cadres.
Shaqra University was represented at the signing by Vice President for Education and Training Dr. Saad bin Mohammed Al-Jubrin, while Qassim University was represented by Vice President for Financial and Technical Affairs Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Saawi.
The areas of cooperation include the exchange of information and expertise in health, allied health, and administrative services; participation in continuing medical education programs; as well as collaboration in scientific research and the training of students and internship physicians.
The MoU also stipulates organizing meetings among experts and participating in conferences, seminars, workshops, exhibitions, and related activities, in addition to developing and enhancing advanced medical services.
This step comes within both universities' efforts to strengthen strategic partnerships and support the medical education and healthcare ecosystem in line with national development goals.
