Researcher Task Facilitation

1. Facilitating the task of a researcher outside the university:

Approval of publishing the questionnaires received from outside the university and circulating them to the university’s employees, including students, faculty members and employees.

Procedure:

If a request is received to facilitate the task of an external researcher, the researcher should attach the following to each request:

• Ethical approval of the study received by the Deanship
• Stamping the attached questionnaire from the external researcher's side.

2- Facilitating the task of a researcher within the university:

Approval of publishing the questionnaires that are received from inside the university - to its employees, including students, faculty members and employees, or issuing a letter to an external party to facilitate the task of Shaqra University researchers.

Procedure:

A request to facilitate the task of a researcher is sent to the e-mail (erc@su.edu.sa) with the following attachments:

• Ethical approval of the study whose mission is to be facilitated
• Stamping the questionnaire to be circulated by the researcher.

In the absence of ethical approval for the study, the researcher should apply for it from (here).

٣- Facilitating the task of commercial entities from within and outside the Kingdom

Approval of publishing the questionnaires received from commercial authorities, whether from inside or outside the Kingdom, and circulating them to university employees, including students, faculty members and employees.

Procedure:

If a request is received to facilitate the task of an external researcher, the entity should attach the following to each request:

• An official letter of endorsement or approval from the competent authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in accordance with the rules and regulations governing the ethics of scientific research based on the “Ethics of Research on Living Organisms” system issued by Royal Decree No. (M/59) dated 09/14/1431 AH, and its executive regulations Issued by King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology in the year 1433 AH.

Application steps

1.      Access the scientific research platform via the link
2.      Log in using the data used to log into the “Makan” system for university members, or register new for those outside the university.
3.      Click to facilitate a researcher's task.
4.      Fill out all required fields.
5.      Attach the ethical approval + questionnaire + any other attachments.
6.      Delivery of the order.
