1. Log in to the Academic Portal.
2. Enter username and password.
3. Go to Submit Requests tab then Deferral.
4. Click Enter new deferral request.
5. Select the semester and reason, then click Next.
6. Review the request, enter verification code, then Save.
7. Track request status via Show Deferral Requests.
Semester Deferral Request
This service allows the student to submit a study deferral request during the first week of the semester or before the semester begins, for a specified period.
1. Application must be submitted during the period specified in the academic calendar.
2. Deferral must not exceed 2 consecutive semesters or 3 non-consecutive semesters (Applied College students: 2 semesters max).
3. For colleges with annual system: deferral must not exceed 2 years.
