Chemistry

About

The Department of Chemistry belongs to the College of Science and Humanities in Dawadmi, which was established following the issuance of the Royal Decree announcing the establishment of Shaqra University (Royal Decree No. 7305/M B dated 3/9/1430 AH). This came in line with the Kingdom’s government and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ commitment—may God preserve him—to advancing public and higher education. It is worth noting that both the college and the department were initially established in 1429 AH under the umbrella of King Saud University.

What distinguishes the Department of Chemistry is its commitment to preparing specialized and scientifically and professionally qualified cadres in the fields of chemical sciences. This is achieved through offering a modern academic program that promotes scientific research and keeps pace with technological advancements within a stimulating educational environment. The department contributes to meeting labor market needs, supporting sustainable development, and fostering community partnership, in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030.
