The college was established in 1429 AH following the approval of the Royal Court dated 21/11/1428 AH. The college grants a bachelor’s degree in all its departments and actively contributes to strengthening community engagement. It also has a sufficient number of qualified academics to achieve its intended goals.
In 1432 AH, a decision was issued to change the name of the College of Science in Al-Dawadmi to the College of Science and Humanities in Al-Dawadmi, under Shaqra University, and to establish four new departments: Accounting, Law, Business Administration, and English.
The specialized English program was offered at the college’s main campus in Al-Dawadmi for male students. For female students, the program was previously offered at the college branches in Al-Bajadiyah and Al-Jamsh, in addition to the main female campus in Al-Dawadmi. Currently, the program is offered only at the main female campus in Al-Dawadmi.
The department also teaches English as a preparatory-year subject or for specific purposes to serve other departments within the college as well as the Community College.
