Civil Engineering Department is one of the core departments at the College of Engineering, Shaqra University – Dawadmi Branch. It seeks to graduate qualified civil engineers who are capable of using the scientific and technological techniques required for support of infrastructure and improvement of urban development in the Kingdom as to comply with Saudi Vision 2030.

The department has a rich academic programme covering fields like Structural Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Water & Environmental Engineering, Transportation & Traffic Engineering, Project Management, and more. The programme focuses on the linkage between theoretical study and practical work experience in all courses of study, including internship training periods and project works. This will enable students to practice solving engineering problems with the most recent technology.

The division has a distinguished faculty whose members have wide and varied experience in both scientific investigation and engineering. It is in the process of creating curricula compliant with local and international academic accreditation. The department also encourages students to join applied research and community activities for the government and industry.
