The department is one of the oldest in the College of Engineering file Department. It has a BSc program that fulfills the requirements of the local, regional as well as international markets. This is done with a series of courses that are current with the rapidly-changing technology in electrical and communications engineering. The program is made available to students seeking practical aspects to be included along with theoretical understanding. It promotes life-long learning, encourages a strong engineering ethic and instils in its graduates essential skills.
